Jakarta – The collaboration between Bisa Ruang Nuswantara (BIRU) and Yayasan Plan International Indonesia in the Microsoft AI Teach program marks a strategic step in strengthening artificial intelligence (AI) competencies among vocational educators and students. The program involves over 30 teachers and reaches more than 1,200 students from various regions across Indonesia, as part of a joint commitment to promote digital literacy and youth workforce readiness. Through a technology-based approach and the enhancement of a practical AI curriculum, participants are equipped with foundational skills to understand and responsibly implement AI across various industries.
This initiative is fully supported by the Center for the Development and Quality Assurance of Vocational Education in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (BBPPMPV BMTI), which serves as a strategic partner in providing educational resources and validating the quality of vocational learning. Delivered through BIRU’s Virtual Vocational School (VVS), the training is conducted online and inclusively, ensuring equitable access to AI education, even in areas with limited infrastructure. This program stands as a concrete example of multi-sector collaboration in accelerating the digital transformation of vocational education in Indonesia, while also cultivating a generation of young talent prepared to face the challenges of the future workforce.
